I don't really use brushes for my photography work, but I have built some to create the logos and graphics for my advertising material. Urban Trace and Open Image are good examples of this.

It's amazing what you and a knackered caravan can do! Whilst working the land on the South Coast of Australia, I came across a derelict mobile home that looked like it hadn't seen human life in quite a while. I spent some time on it. Here's a quick one to get an idea of the feel.
